Tom Glatt, Jr. Delivering Session on Credit Union Strategic Positioning

Glatt Consulting’s Tom Glatt, Jr. will deliver a credit union educational session entitled Strategic Positioning: A Market Focused Planning Methodology at CU Conferences’ 2013 Business Development and Marketing Conference. The conference addresses the challenges of business development and marketing to credit union members in today’s ever-changing world. It is scheduled for February 17-19, 2013 and will be held at the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Session Description

The markets on which credit unions depend are constantly changing. Identifying and addressing changing markets is a matter for strategic planning sessions. A key challenge, however, is that for most credit unions the planning process does not offer much in the way of “market change” discussion.

Many planners do devote some time talking about regulatory changes, the changing interest rate environment and the like. But often their look into the migration patterns of members across different market segments is superficial. A much deeper examination is required.

In this session, Tom Glatt, Jr. will discuss a market-focused planning methodology known as Strategic Positioning, which allows your management team and board to determine the market position your credit union must take in order to maintain market relevance and long-term success.
