Emotional Intelligence

Glatt Consulting’s emotional intelligence consulting solution is designed to help you better understand your current state of emotional intelligence, and to create and execute a development plan designed to leverage your existing strengths and improve current weaknesses.

Project Structure

Our consulting projects are structured around “blocks” of activities each designed to lead to critical awareness or decisions specific to a given project type and its outcome. For emotional intelligence these blocks include:

  1. Project Foundation: We will deploy project-specific resources so that the project is properly defined and supported. We will share access to project databases and/or views to ensure the project stays on track and so that project participants remain informed.
  2. Baseline Assessment: We will capture and document baseline emotional intelligence scores. We will generate a results and key findings report and document key attributes in a project-specific database.
  3. Development Plan: We will facilitate the capture/update of objectives and related strategies that address emotional intelligence weaknesses, and that ensure sustained emotional intelligence strengths.
  4. Development Support Retainer: We will periodically facilitate exploration and discussion of development progress, and reassess emotional intelligence to capture score updates.

Project Customization

While we generally recommend clients work through each of the blocks making up our emotional intelligence consulting solution, we do allow for clients to build a custom solution within our emotional intelligence structure. For example, a client may want to work with us up through setting a development plan, but may prefer to execute that plan without additional assistant.

Participant Engagement

Each of the blocks outlined above involve varying degrees of interaction and engagement with project participants. Block efforts might include discovery and rating surveys, virtual and/or in-person results debriefs and discussions, and decision making made for the benefit of subsequent project blocks and successful execution of the participant’s emotional intelligence development plan.

Project Timeline

Project timelines are generally adapted to client-specific demands, although we do have a recommended pacing for emotional intelligence projects. This timeline is as follows:

By spacing project activities across multiple months, participants are allowed opportunities to thoughtfully participate and contribute to an effective and informed project outcome.

Project Deliverables

Emotional Intelligence Database

For an emotional intelligence project a “development plan” is the defined deliverable, but in the case of Glatt Consulting that development plan is documented in an extensive project-specific database, ownership of which is shared with the individual to use for on-going development plan management.
